The 40-year-old has been granted a €1million bail after serving about a quarter of his four-and-a-half year sentence for rape. The conditions for Alves’ release includes letting go of his Brazilian and Spanish passports, meaning he cannot leave Spain as well as a weekly obligated appearance before the court.
