Tottenham Hotspur are set to appeal the verdict involving captain Heung-Min Son and midfielder Rodrigo Bentacur.
Bentancur has been banned for seven games and fined £100,000 after comments about the South Korean.
Media outlet, The Telegraph reports that Spurs are now appealing against the sentence.
It is also said that they are not appealing the ruling itself, but also the length of the punishment, which exceeds the FA’s minimum six-match ban for racist remarks.
Bentancur, while on a TV programme in Uruguay, handing a journalist a Son shirt, made a joke; “Sonny’s? It could also be Sonny’s cousin. They all look the same,” he said, accompanied by laughter.
