Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is set for a spell on the sidelines, potentially ruling him out for key games against Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 32-year-old sustained a hamstring injury in the 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace last weekend and is set to be out for up to six weeks.
British media are reporting the Brazilian is unlikely to be available until after the November international break.
The Reds are scheduled to face Chelsea on October 20 and Arsenal the following week, with their Champions League games against RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen in between.
Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to fill in for Alisson, as he did last season when he suffered a similar hamstring problem.
Liverpool have amassed 18 points from seven league games and they sit a point ahead of defending champions Manchester City and Arsenal.
