Barcelona have completed the signing of Dani Olmo, after the Spain international spent more than four years at RB Leipzig.
The 26-year-old – who was a key player for La Roja en route to their Euro 2024 triumph – signed a six-year deal with the Catalan giants.
Olmo’s performances in Germany caught the eye of top clubs and Barcelona have moved swiftly to bring the midfielder back to his homeland.
It is a return to the club which he grew, after he joined La Masia in 2007 and stayed there until 2014 before departing for Dinamo Zagreb.
Olmo featured in 148 games, scoring 29 goals and winning two German cups for Leipzig in all competitions after moving in 2020, signing a contract extension until 2027 last year.
“A young club, a young player… We grew up, won our first trophies and made history together,” Olmo penned of Leipzig on social media.
“Two Cups and the Super Cup are just some of the many unforgettable moments that’ll always stay with me. Thank you, RB Leipzig, you’ll forever be in my heart.”
