Chelsea have been in the transfer market for a striker, with Romelu Lukaku hot on the Napoli radar and Nicolas Jackson in need of competition.
The Blues are now set to land Atlético Madrid striker, Samu Omorodion.
According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the deal is around a £35million package.
The deal comes after the verbal agreement between Chelsea and the Spanish giants for Conor Gallagher, in which the London club discussed about Omorodion.
It is also reported that the only way Atléti will allow the striker leave is if their package in excess of €60million to Manchester City for Julian Alvarez is accepted.
Omorodion’s camp are also reportedly discussing contract terms with Chelsea.
The Spaniard netted nine goals in 35 games in the 2023-24 season for Deportivo Alaves.
