Barcelona have started their season with a bang, amassing all available points to be taken in the league, with their perfect record of five wins from five.
However, the Blaugrana have been greeted with bad news as Dani Olmo has been confirmed to sit out five weeks following an injury to his right hamstring.
The 26-year-old, who found the back of the net, looked to suffer a discomfort around his muscle area and substituted in the 61st minute in the 4-1 win at Girona on Sunday.
Olmo’s injury is a worrying situation to manager Hansi Flick and his team who are set to kickstart their Champions League campaign on Thursday.
The Spanish midfielder has netted in all three of his appearances for the Catalan giants — who travel to Stade Louis II to face Monaco on Thursday before Sunday’s league visit to Villarreal.
