Barcelona have opened contract negotiation talks with Jules Kounde for weeks and there is an optimism an agreement will be reached despite interest from Manchester City.
According to journalist, Fabrice Hawkins, all parties are confident a deal will be struck as negotiations between Barcelona and the 26-year-old have been on for “several weeks”.
Barcelona consider Kounde as one of the best in the world and want to give him a deal that will reflect his valuation.
Manchester City are reported to be of keen interest, as Pep Guardiola eyes the France international as a replacement for Kyle Walker.
The report also insists another top club enquired for Kounde who made 53 appearances last season.
