Carlo Ancelotti has voiced his opinion on who will win this year’s Ballon d’Or award between his players, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal.
The Real Madrid manager has stated his opinion on seeing Vini Jr crowned as the world’s best player.
The Brazilian had a blistering 2023-24 season, aiding Los Blancos, en route to them lifting the Spanish LaLiga title and their 15th UEFA Champions League.
However, he was dumped out with the Selecao in the quarter final stage of the 2024 Copa America.
It is worthy to note that Vinicius’ achievements with Madrid came alongside the likes of Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal.
The latter duo, however, had better international performances with Carvajal and Spain beating Bellingham and England in the Euro 2024 final.
“Vinicius Jr will win the Ballon d’Or, in my opinion”, he said on the Obi One Podcast hosted by former Nigeria international John Mikel Obi.
“Carvajal also did so well, he won La Liga, Champions League and scored in the final, then won the Euros.
“But Vinicius… talented player, young, good image, won La Liga, won the Champions League scoring in the final and semi final. Don’t forget, he scored two in Munich!
“Jude had a fantastic season. Winning the Champions League, winning the league, and it was a big surprise. The best player of the league season in my opinion.
“Rodri also is fantastic midfielder, he’s one of the best midfielders in the competition, and always consistent.”
