Manchester United defender Harry Maguire admitted the transition period of the club from Erik ten Hag to being under Ruben Amorim is not going to be easy as both managers are very different, but insists the team has faith in the new gaffer.

The Portuguese coach, who prefers a back three system, has won four and drawn one while suffering six defeats in 11 games since taking charge from Ten Hag in November.

The Red Devils have struggled for form in the league, as they sit 14th on the log, with five losses in their last six games.

“The thing is with the managers and the styles, it is not like they have come in and they have similar styles,” Maguire said to Sky Sports.

“They are the total opposite in terms of what they want and what they demand.

“So the transition period is going to be tough. We all have great belief in the manager and all his coaching staff. I am sure things are going to turn around.”

United, who lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle United on Monday, make a trip to face leaders Liverpool on Sunday.
