Arsenal completed successive wins against Crystal Palace in a week as they followed up their Carabao Cup semi-final qualification with a superb 5-1 league win at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
A brace from Gabriel Jesus and goals from Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice helped the Gunners cut the gap to league leaders Liverpool to three points.
However, the win came at a cost as star forward Bukayo Saka could not continue the game during the first half as he came off with a hamstring injury.
The Englishman has provided the most assists in the top-flight this term and has been a consistent performer for Mikel Arteta’s side and any potential absence could affect the North London side.
Speaking in a news conference, Arteta admitted tests will need to be carried out to determine the extent of the injury but also said there is a feeling of worry about the situation.
“He felt something in his hamstring. He will have to be assessed. we’re Pretty worried about that. It’s difficult to guess now. They have tested him but difficult to say how bad it is,” Arteta responded after being quizzed by journalist Kaya Kaynak.
