Kylian Mbappe was finally moved to his preferred left attacking position in the 3-0 LaLiga win at Leganes on Sunday – and he has admitted his belief that he finally returning to form in a Real Madrid shirt.
The Frenchman has featured in the central role of the attack for Los Blancos since his transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old had also gone four games without a goal in all competitions before scoring the opening goal against Leganes.
Mbappe was combined well with Vinicius Jr, to net the opener as he played from the left in the attack for the champions.
“Vinicius and I read each other very well. I’ve got a great relationship with him and he’s a great player,” Mbappe said to Real Madrid TV after the win.
“I think I put in a good performance. I’m starting to get up to speed with my teammates. I can play in every position and I’m ready to help the team and give my all.
“It’s the story of my career. I play on the right, on the left, in the middle and with two up top. It doesn’t matter to me. I want to help the team and score goals.”
Real are placed second in the league, four points behind Barcelona, who have played one game more. The leaders shared the spoils with 2-2 draw at Celta Vigo on Saturday.
