Barcelona have confirmed teenager sensation Lamine Yamal will spend sometime on the sideline due to injury.
The 17-year-old has now been revealed by the club to have suffered a thigh strain – after he was released by Spain following their Nations League win against Denmark.
Spain’s medical staff detected an “overload”, which has now been reiterated by Barcelona.
The Catalan giants announced: “The tests carried out this morning on Lamine Yamal have confirmed that he has an overload in the hamstring of his left thigh.
“The time of his return to training will depend on his progress.”
Yamal is now expected to miss the weekend clash with Sevilla but is expected to be available the following week.
